TheSundayPost - 10th January 2016

Sunday, 10 January 2016

Aloha! Wow, it's the 10th January already!
This post is a little late going up this week. It's been a crazy busy week, unfortunately containing nothing fun!
Here is what I've been up to!

On Tuesday I went back to work after a lovely Christmas break! Monday was the all important extra Scottish bank holiday so I spent it wisely (sale shopping!) Work has been crazy this week as I've now got only 3 weeks to get all my client's tax returns complete and submitted. It's gonna be a long haul!

On Friday night we saw our first proper snow of the winter! It was totally unexpected!
Mikey was out so I spent the night in my cosy PJ's, eating chocolate and colour coding my work to-do list. Wild!

On Saturday we went for a little walk as I had not been feeling too great in the morning (probably the chocolate!) I took this picture looking over from our street to Bathgate town centre. It wasn't until I looked twice that I noticed the swan in the bottom right of the picture! It was doing a good job of blending in with the snow! We stopped for a coffee on our way back, and bought some tasty treats from the butcher (including some Stornoway black pudding, which is apparently now a super food!)

Sorry there wasn't very many posts from me this week.
You can see what I got in my blogger secret santa HERE.
Things are likely to be quite quiet here throughout the month of January, as work is expected to be manic. I do have some posts scheduled for next week though so hopefully I'll manage to blog at least once a week!
Have a great week!

Mini Primark Haul // November

Tuesday, 12 November 2013

I've been a terrible blogger recently and haven't posted in ages! I've had coursework coming out my eyeballs, but it's all over now so I've got time for a quick post!

And it is one of my favourites! A primark haul!

Just a little haul though, because christmas is coming and I'm saving my pennies for a very special holiday just after christmas!

Cardigan £6

This was very boring purchase but I'm always in need of black cardigans for work. This felt a bit thicker than my usual primark cardigans so it will do nicely for the winter months!

Super Cosy tights- £3.50

I've become a big fan of dresses and tights in the last few months. Because I usually walk to work I definitely need these to keep my legs warm! Especially when it starts snowing which, judging by the cold air, isn't too far away!!

Sweatpants £3

Not the most fashionable of items, but I bought these purely for lounging about the house on my days off! (and running to the corner shop for my daily can of diet coke!) They were in the sale for £3 and are my favourite colour so they will do nicely for what I need them for.

Fleece Nightdress £4

How amazingly cute is this?! I saw this on a sale rack reduced from £7 to £4 and I just had to have it! I love the reindeer print on it and the colours go so well together. Very cosy and christmassy! Even my mum loved it! So much that she bought one for herself too! They've got lots of other patterns of these at full price which also look lovely and cosy!

Hat £3

And finally, I picked up this cute little hat! I really liked the colours of this hat and I've got a similar one is plain cream colour which I wear all the time so I know I will definitely get wear out of this. I'm really loving hats just now! They are so good for bad hair days, of which I have many!

What have you been buying in Primark lately? Leave me links to your blog below :)

Tie Rack A/W 2013!

Thursday, 12 September 2013

If you didn't know before, I work for an awesome accessories company called tie rack. This post is all about my pick of the best items in this years autumn/winter collection! (there were far too many pretty things to choose from but I managed to narrow it down to four!)

Image

Serape £34.99

If you don't know what a serape is, then listen up! These amazing items are basically a large shawl but they are honestly so cosy and will keep you warm all winter! The leopard print and fur combination is very on trend for this year! And this one even comes with little arm holes on the side to make this look like an oversized cardigan when wearing it! (another on trend item for this year). I plan to wear this lots and as it gets colder i'll start wearing a long sleeved t-shirt under it to keep me a bit warmer!

Serape £34.99

Because there are so many amazing patterns and colours to choose from in this year's range of serapes, i couldn't just pick one so I also had to get this cute tartan one! Tartan is another print that is going to be massive this winter so I'm really looking forward to wearing this! Keep an eye out for some future posts showing you how to look amazing wearing these!

Pashmina £17.99

I am a big fan of pashminas as they are such a versatile product (I must own one in every colour imaginable!) Tie rack pashminas are a great size for doing so many different things with them! I bought this one as it's a lovely burgundy colour so it will go with all the burgundy items I've been buying lately!

Scarf £19.99

And finally, I just love this scarf! Everything about it is perfect! I've not been able to get a tartan scarf for many years because I'm allergic to wool and I've only ever seen wool ones! But this one is made of acrylic so I know it's not going to irritate my skin. I had this scarf out on a test run to the shops last night and it kept me nice and cosy in the cold breeze! I don't think I will have this scarf off during winter this year! It looks amazing with so many different colours!

That is my top 4 favourite items from Tie Rack's Autumn Winter Collection so far! Look out for more posts about this. I'm sure there are plenty more amazing items waiting to come into stores!

What do you think about these products? How would you wear a serape? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
