Meet Smudge

Friday 28 March 2014

Hello Everyone!
Apologies for the lack of posts the last few weeks! I've been attempting to get my Uni coursework done and it's kinda taken over! I've still got one essay to go which is due on Tuesday so hopefully everything will be back to normal after then!
This post is a little random but I wanted to introduce you all to my little fur baby (who's actually a senior citizen!)
This is Smudge! He's almost 13 years old and has lived with me for the last 10 years! He was abandoned by his previous owners as a kitten and managed to stray for over a year before being put into a cat shelter. When I was 12 I decided I wanted a cat and despite dad saying no, mum took me to the cat shelter to have a little look. I had a wander around and this boys story broke my heart. How could anyone leave a harmless little cat for dead?! I was allowed into his pen to stroke him but he wasn't so keen and tried to scratch me. Despite this, I was determined he would be mine so we took him home the following weekend (Dad wasn't impressed but the ladies in the house overruled him). Ever since that day, he has been my best friend. He follows me everywhere and is constantly curled up in my lap, purring away. I'm definitely his favourite! Smudge has fueled my obsession for all things cat (you might notice I like to buy cat print clothes, socks etc), and I regularly get called the crazy cat lady but I don't care! Smudge means the world to me and I'm honoured to have given him the life he deserves after such a sad start!

Do you have a special fur baby in your life? I'd love to hear some stories about your pets, just leave me a comment below :) xx

TheSundayPost #4

Sunday 9 March 2014

Hope everyone has had a great week! Mine has been eventful to say the least!
1- Pancake Tuesday! I love pancakes. I was very proud of this perfect shaped one that I managed to make. :)
2 & 3- On Wednesday, I was looking after my cheeky little cousin! We went to the duck pond and saw these lovely ducks. The second picture is him running around in my UGG's! Little monkey!
4- Unfortunately, on Wednesday evening I took unwell and ended up in hospital after having breathing problems. All was okay after some oxygen and antibiotics :)
5- Thursday was spent in my hospital bed. This was the view from my bed! Isn't it lovely? That's Edinburgh castle btw (just for anyone who was wondering).
6- I wrote a little Lush review on Saturday after getting out of hospital. You can find that HERE

This was today's antics. We went to IKEA to get some storage boxes for our rather large, messy cupboard. I decided to buy a huge one for my shoe collection! As you can see, it is so big that I fit in it! The other half doesn't quite fit but he enjoyed using it as a chair to watch the rugby from!
I ended the night with Sunday dinner at my parent's house. Dad treated us all to a tub of ice cream from a very famous ice cream shop near our house! It was lovely!
So that was my week! What have you been up to this week?

Lush Brightside Bubble Bar

Saturday 8 March 2014

Hello Everyone! Apologies for the lack of blog posts this week. I have had a little stint in hospital this week thanks to a pretty nasty lung infection but I'm home now and resting up in bed!
After I arrived home last night, I decided I needed a nice relaxing bath to refresh myself! I used half of my brightside bubble bar which I bought in my latest lush haul. I picked this because of the tangerine oil in it. I always find when I'm feeling a bit rubbish, that citrus fruits make me feel a little better. This was no different!

The smell was just amazing! And my bath was a gorgeous bright orange colour. I cut this in half so I can get more than one use from it. I find you don't need a whole bubble bar for one bath.
This is definitely worth the money and I will be sure to stock up on this before it is discontinued!
You can buy this bubble bar HERE! I would definitely recommend it :)

TheSundayPost #3

Sunday 2 March 2014

Hello Everyone! Hope you've had a lovely week! Things have been pretty quiet with me this week again, with work and uni taking over once again! I did get up to a few things though!
On Tuesday, my partner and I went to Glasgow for a small shopping trip!
It was our first day off together in about 4 weeks so it was lovely to spend some time together! You can find my haul post from that day here.
So, apart from Tuesday this week has been pretty boring. I watched lion king for the 10 millionth time (it's my favourite film). The picture in the middle made me laugh for well over an hour on monday morning. Saddo I know!
I took my granny to get her hair cut on wednesday and we saw the infamous Edinburgh tram on the move in the city centre for the first time!
The weekend revolved around early starts at work, of course!
And the final picture is me and my boy, smudge! I'm going to do a little post about him soon. He's very special to me! This is his new favourite place to sleep, around my neck!
So that is all that I've been up to this week, really!
I'll leave you all with this funny picture I saw on twitter!
Hehehehe! This made me giggle! Have a lovely Monday everyone! And don't forget my giveaway ends tomorrow at midnight! You can enter HERE if you haven't already done so!
xx
