Lush Melting Marshmallow Moment Review

Friday, 31 January 2014

My other half was asking me the other day if there were any lush products I liked other than snow fairy so he could get ideas for valentines day. Of course I decided to go have a look at all the limited edition products so I could tell him!

Whilst browsing I got chatting to the sales guy about my love for snow fairy! This led to me buying the gorgeous bath melt! It smells identical to snow fairy!

Image

Of course I couldn't wait for my bath last night to use this!

It was sooooo nice. The smell was just amazing. My bathroom still smells amazing now!

And the colour was a nice baby pink, so no scrubbing the bath clean!

I highly recommend this product to anyone who loves snow fairy as much as me! It is one of the more expensive bath bombs at £3.95 each but it is totally worth it!

January Primark Haul

Thursday, 30 January 2014

Today I decided to go for a little wander to Primark. I wanted to get some new bed sheets and a pair of plain black plimsoles for work. Here is what I picked up!

Image

Image

These were the bed sheets I decided on! Slightly tacky I know but so typical of me to pick leopard print! It was £14 for a kingsize set which I think is great value! Primark's bedding prices have dropped considerably this year!

Image

These grey jeggings were only £7. The only complaint I have about these is that they sit a bit low on my hips but for £7 I don't mind too much!

Image

These cute reindeer PJ's were reduced to only £3! I have a very similar pair which I love so I couldn't resist these!

Image

Now this was an absolute bargain! I've seen a few bloggers pick this skirt up in their local primark for £5 but for some reason in my local store it was only £1! I've got a family reunion in 2 weeks time and I think this will feature for the meal at night! I still can't quite believe I only paid a pound for this!

Image

This dress is very bright but there is something nice about it! I don't think I will get much wear out of this until summer but for only £5 I can't complain!

Image

No trip to primark would be complete without buying a few plain cami tops! I've been buying a lot of pink lately and today was no different. The white and fuchsia tops were £2 and the baby pink one was £2.50. I wear a plain cami almost every day so I will definitely get plenty wear out of these!

Image

These cute memory foam slippers were only £3.50! They are dead comfy!

Image

This gorgeous silky cami was reduced to only £2! I think I'm going to wear this with my £1 sequin skirt to my family reunion meal!

Image

I'm in love with this cardigan! Grey is another of my favourite colours just now. This was only £10 and I will definitely be wearing this lots as the weather starts getting warmer!

And last, but not least, from the jewellery section I grabbed these beauties. The bow earrings were only £1 (aren't they gorgeous!), the 5pk diamante studs were also £1 and the little leopard print clasps were reduced to 50p!

So there we go! That's my latest primark haul!

I love reading new blogs. Leave me links to your blog in the comment box below! :)

Concrete jungle where dreams are made...

Okay, so for the last 18 months I have been saving like mad for my very special holiday to New York! As some of you may know, I turned 21 in 2013 and I always said I wanted to go for my birthday. Circumstances meant I didn't quite get away in Summer but on 2nd January 2014 I set off on my travels with my lovely man!

The trip started with disaster of course! I woke up at 5am, all excited, only to find out our flight had been cancelled due to a snow storm in New York! Cue lots of screaming, crying and moaning about how unfair it is! Of course I refused to take no for an answer. I headed to the airport anyway and managed to get booked on a later flight with no hassle at all! (Thanks, British Airways!)

Anyway, the main point of this post is the shopping! OMG the shops are just sooooo good! Of course I was there during the January sales so everything was sooo cheap!

Image

  1. NYPD Hoodie: I just had to have this. I love a baggy hoodie for lounging about in.
  2. I love NY t-shirt: No trip to NY would be complete without one of these obviously!
  3. Cat print leggings (Forever 21): These are actually PJ's but they are far too pretty to wear to bed so I use them as leggings!
  4. PJ Set (Forever 21): I also wear the Meow top as a normal top just with a plain cami under it as its a bit see through!
  5. Sparkle leggings (American Eagle): I love sparkles and these were so unusual. I've not seen anything like them in the UK!

Image

  1. Both Checked Shirts (American Eagle): I couldn't decide between the 2 colours and they were in the sale so I just got both!
  2. Burgundy cable knit jumper (American Eagle)
  3. Popcorn knit cream jumper (Aeropostale): This will look so cute in spring with skinny jeans!
  4. Beige Cable Knit Jumper (American Eagle)
  5. Pink Juicy Jumper (Juicy Couture): Only $25 in the sale! I've had this on loads and it looks really good! I love baby pink at the moment!

I really needed some new tops for uni so the above is a selection of what I picked up! The white cat one is my favourite! A bargain at $10 from Forever 21!

Image

More hoodies! They are just so cheap in America and I wear them all the time at uni!

So there we go, a selection of the items I picked up in New York!

Hope you enjoyed this post! I certainly enjoyed the shopping for it!

Outfit: Pink to make the boys wink!

Saturday, 18 January 2014

Okay so firstly, I apologise for my absence from the blogosphere lately! I've had a horrible few months and I just haven't felt like sharing  anything with the world! On November 21st I was told I would be losing my job at the end of the year. I took this pretty hard as I've been in the same job since I was 16! It was my first ever job and I slowly worked my way up. I had a really close relationship with my colleagues so it wasn't very nice! When the closing down process began, everything got manic and I had no time for anything! Anyway, long story cut short, we closed up for the last time on the 23rd december. I still miss the place every day :(

So rambling over, here is my outfit from yesterday!
